It was only a graffiti.(though it looked kinda cool with some effects added.) I don't have this particular EDGE issue. This turned out to be the front cover of ’EDGE* magazine of the UK.
The brush strokes were not scanned but created with the brush tool in the Painter.

»«g£fcao-c I drew this to try out the software called Painter. JI?t#73fitU*)o -ewEDGE^ilUifiForv'i-ti-A. I haven't taken my vacation since, and I’ll probably never feel that way. When the game development was completed, I started working on illustrations for the front covers - the project did not seem it was over yet. tftSRw#«ii*#a«*>L*i.i-ttA., A series of magazine covers at the timing of the release of "Metal Gear Solid". I had to rush thi Shibuya Station was indeed spectacular! I'd love feedback, tips, and welcome you all to use it if you like it and request more if you'd like other cases or would like to try making one on your own. This is the illustration that replaced the one on the previous page. TL DR: I made a PS3/PS4 case version of cover art for MGS1, and am intending to make more so that my cases all match.
#Metal gear solid 1 art trial
It took a little trial and error, but I'm happy with the outcome. Feel free to use them as you wish! Also, feel free to request something you'd like to see me try, and don't hesitate to try it yourself, I'm happy to email you the png's for the box art template. And of course, I wanted to post it for those of you that are also bothered by things not stacking neatly or having continuity and want your own same size cases for your games. I'd love to hear any feedback you guys have to offer, as well as ideas for the next few cases. I'm also planning on changing each "Playstation" logo to match the system, hence the reason the PS1 logo looks as it does. I'm tempted to make them all red, but I'm not sure. #Metal gear solid 1 art ps3
I used the dimensions of a PS3 case, down to my own measurements in combo with some that I found online. (For copyright purposes, I should say that I'm not a graphic designer seeking any recognition or money, I just like to do things like this and I find it fun)ĭidn't want this to seem like a low effort attempt at karma, especially since I am more of a lurker than a contributor, so I made it a text post and included a link to the album of the first cover I made. As a result of this, I've decided to make my own cases, using my limited photo editing skills and the artwork of Yoji Shinkawa, who has done a majority of the art for the series.
Now that I have 1-5 on their original discs, I noticed that the cases being all different sizes don't really stack well and line up nicely.
I discovered what would become my favorite franchise, and I've made it my mission to collect all of the games in their original formats as best I can. Hey guys! Long time lurker with maybe one post here before I think, but I've been around the Metal Gear series since my PS1 days, though I admittedly didn't really get into it until I got MGS4 with my PS3 bundle.
